Michigan Older Adult Substance Abuse Network Profile
The Michigan Older Adult Substance Abuse Network was initiated in 1988 as a joint effort of the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging and the Center for Substance Abuse Services / Michigan Department of Community Health. Funded today by a grant from the Bureau for Substance Abuse Services / MDCH, Gerontology Network staffs and coordinates the efforts of this group throughout the State of Michigan.
The Michigan Older Adult Substance Abuse Network provides a practical and creative link for older adult substance abuse providers across Michigan to share information regarding their uniquely challenging work. The Network offers consultation, technical assistance, information, and training to individuals, groups, and organizations to improve the quality of care for Michigan older adults and their care providers.
